Red and pink with green..

Red, pink and soft green is the combo I used this time! I’m trying new color combos nowadays and this is what I ended up with! Two large flowers in the middle and with some swirls and leaves and tight rolls together made this pretty design! This is actually the largest card I’ve done so far. Half A4 size actually. So I had large space to do a design. I didn’t do a pop up this time cos I loved the red color card I used. The design was done on top of a cream color card.

MOM! Filled with Color!!

 

MOM!! I made this for My MOM!! She had to spend her 60^th birthday in the hospital unfortunately few months ago.. So I wanted to give something special for her belated birthday!! He he I always forget to do my work before the actual birthday hehe ! Because her birthday was in September and I finished this recently!! The hard part was doing this without seen by my mother ! coz it was supposed to be a surprise! Luckily she went away for a funeral for 2 days and I had all the freedom!!

So Quilling typography!! I love it!! This time instead of swirls and spirals of paper stripes I used tight coils in lots of colors!! Since mom is an amazing person I believe you need to use lots of colors to represent her!! I used soft colors for this design. Tight rolls and stripes are used to fill the letters!  Making lots of tight rolls aint that easy !! took me few days to roll them.. Did them while watching my favorite TV serials !! hehe…  I also used 3 fringed flowers , too.  The size of this wall hanger is 22 by 42 cm.

  Oh and I made the White Frame myself! I had made a frame before using a different technique , which I used for THIS wall hanger..It was a bit hard and messy.  But this time , I used a much better technique which I learned from Inna ..  who is a wonderful quiller .. A House made from paper!!

I was getting bored with doing cards.. so I was thinking about doing some 3D quilling! And here I go.. my quilled dream house!! Hehe  A house made from paper, 100%! 

The walls roof and the base was created separately and assembled later…  it was a bit of a work actually.. Took me some time to quill all the pieces….. but I’m happy with the final product!! Worth all the work!!

I guess that’s enough info… the house speaks for itself!! 

Two hearts in love

Sorry guys I didn’t post anything in a long time… I have couple things that need to be posted but I’m actually turning into a couch potato nowadays.. hehe… I have become so lazy that the mere thought of getting out of the couch to do some quilling is not even possible. He he.. Then a dear friend and a regular customer called and asked for an anniversary card. And Finally I’m off the couch!! He he…

So she wanted a design involving two hearts, and gave me the freedom to do any design I like. It’s for her 7^th anniversary and then I realized that I did her 5^th and 6^th anniversary cards as well!  How fast time flies!!! Ah I’m completely out of track….Anyway back to the design!

The colors used here are bright pink and bright yellow which I think is amazing together! Just like the couple who are celebrating their anniversary.. he he… I’ve used stripes to create the illusion of two colors being mixed together. I think it worked pretty well. The pop up is a very simple one with the same colors. I love the idea of two tones!! I
