Blue and white....

Two tone color card!! Just blue and white !!!  It feels like being in the sky  !!Can’t believe how beautiful and serene it looks only with two colors!!  I'm hoping to do this card with other colors too using only two tones... I’m going to use this card for something …up… you will get to know about it in my next post…

Padded envelope is provided for protection of the card. I made it to be a birthday card.. but looks okay to turn it into a thank you, mother’s day card…etc..

Colorful Hearts Card...

Here I am…after some time!!! Well it’s been a long time since I made this card but had to wait to until the card is given to the intended person and ….. Well, anyway as you can see this is a card for a lover…yup that’s why lots of hearts!!!  This is actually an order for one of my good friends / a regular customer…..and it’s for her boyfriend who is again a good friend of me!

                Sometimes I have no clue when it comes do masculine cards…just “a shirt and a tie” card can be seen most of the times...but when it comes to love , I don’t think that’s enough! So I decided to go a safer way…with hearts!

                Here I used a white color card to emphasize the colorful hearts…choosing colors for the hearts had been a little difficult..let alone deciding the designs for each heart! The soft blue heart is decorated with some white tight coils, tiny red beads on pink heart, piece of gold code on the yellow heart, pink glitter on red heart, more glitter on orange and yellow heart, tiny ribbon rose on soft green heart with silver line!!!!!! There goes my hearts!!! Phew! This car comes with a red padded envelope. As always, this card is open for customization!!

Pottery painting

Here goes my triumph at a new hobby… a new craft of course!! Pottery painting!!! Yup..this is something that I’ve been postponing   for quite some time.. ’cos it takes some time to complete the job! These are little pots that contained curd, actually. Since I had a collection of these I wanted to try and turn them into something that’s good looking…   

However this is all about using the things that can found at home. I didn’t bought anything, not even the paint …. Yup this is actually paint that is used to paint the walls… I found some of the leftover paint that was used to paint our house about a year ago. So I used them to paint the pots… and just like the walls double coat was necessary….heheh… See … you don’t need buy everything to enjoy crafting , you can always find something at home…!!!  Now…why I did paint these… ??? well, before they were looking very ugly…not very suitable to be kept on a table… so I painted them nicely and everyone in our house has one or two of these on their table… there are perfect to keep change and clatter around. I gave the big ones to my mom and they are being used to keep spoons and forks….  !!  the ugly  looking these little things came in handy after the new paint job!!!!

One year anniversary!!!

Well, It’s been a looong time since I last posted here…almost a month!!!! Been busy with exams and more exams are coming up… happy to say that my university degree is almost coming to an end..now … having  the finals now!! So, I was hoping to post this before  ...but never got the chance…

It’s been a year since I started my blog and business officially!! my first post on 11^th May 2010. Looking back …. I found new friends who are enjoying the same field as I am, and had so many creative ideas from them…. Learned a lot! Let me just share some statistics with u now… Well I got 21 followers now and my site has been viewed about 17,500 times…yup they say the more the merrier….!!! My site is most viewed in India actually, according to the blog stats. The most viewed post is THIS.

Well, I hope to do crafting a lot more in the near future.. once my degree is complete…and until I get a job of course…!!! Thanks a for reading my blog…and I hope u guys enjoy it as much as I do….!!!  Well then keep reading folks!!!!!! See ya again!!!!

Wedding Anniversary card with pop-up!!!

Another pop-up card with a lovely design! One of my favorite cards!!!
An order from a friend for his parents' 25th wedding anniversary!!! Well, once again I was left with the freedom to design what ever I want!!! hehe.... I chose few only four colors to do this design, I think it gives a different kind of look to the card rather than using many colors in a design. I've seen people work with only two tone as well.
Since he asked me to do the inside as well, I decided to do a pop-up inside... once again I did a layer pop-up with two hearts..using the same colors used in the front design. looks like I'm enjoying the pop-ups !! Hope to try some more!!!!

My first pop-up card - with birds singing....... :)

So this is my first attempt in making pop up cards!!! I've been hoping to make some pop-up cards, but never got the time to actually try it. I did a very simple layer pop-up and designed it a with a cake....
Well it takes time to glue all those candles and cake and make sure the cake is glued accurately.. well it's my first try and I'm satisfied with it....

Well, I did this card for a best friend of mine... up she gets to be the very first receiver of a pop-up card form me!!!! Oh, I totally forgot to mention about the front design.... I'm tired with all the flowers and trees and vases!!! hehehe so I'm doing animals now.. so ladies and gentlemen put your hands together for my "singing birds"!!!! heheh
Not many things are on the card... just the way I like it to be.... simple indeed!!! just a piece of the sun in a corner... and the birds are on a branch of a tree. They are singing birthday songs for my dear friend!!!! only a few colors are used, too.
This card is totally customizable cos' this birds will sing any song that u want them to.....:)))
